Ciara B can flex with the best of them as she returns to the Techniche fold with 2 tracks that prove she is exploring her potential as a true tour de force. Leading off with the title track, Awakening, we hear a minimal groove that’s as bit sublime as it engaging while Lucid Dream extends things into even deeper and darker territory. Both tracks handsomely compliment each other to produce a cohesive release that shows Ciara B isn’t afraid to shift direction, albeit just a tad, yet still keep a focused course toward her rising trajectory.
