The balance between dark sounds and deep grooves—that’s what Ciara B finds so well with each of her mixes. There is a unique talent that can be heard in her track selection—an unwavering commitment to music that she loves. Before relocating to San Diego, Ciara was a resident DJ for Housework, the monthly after-hours party hosted by the Baltimore collective Obsidian. Since moving to the west coast she has held residencies for local collectives like Deep Tech San Diego, Divinity and Techniche.
Ciara’s unique view on techno stems from her love for forward-thinking European techno artists and their emphasis on minimal sounds and steady, club-focused grooves. Her mutual love for dark, industrial tracks and respect for tasteful mixing speak to her past, and do nothing but promise a very exciting future for the one of the next up-and-coming female DJs
